About the event
The 2021 Africa Day celebrations were held under the AU Theme of the Year, “Arts, Culture and Heritage: Levers for Building the Africa We Want. During the occasion a special event was held to launch the Entry into Force of the Charter for African Cultural Renaissance.
With the growing population of Africa community in Greenwich, The Black Female Entrepreneur Greenwich in partnership with Nigerian, Republic of Benin, Congolese Women Associates, Ghana Women Group and Burkina Faso Drumming and Dance Group has being celebrating Africa Festival Greenwich since 2019 which run with various inter generational programs and activities to celebrate the rich Cultural Heritage of the Africa and it contribution to the world and also celebrating the achievements of Africa community in Greenwich and UK at Large.
The Africa Festival Closing event will feature Afrobeat Dance , Food, Young Music instrument performance, Fashion show, Talk on History Cultural heritage and Achievements in particular Greenwich Borough, Traditional drumming & dance , Wazobia dance performance and Afrocentric accessories and gifts Popup Store from local Africa makers.
